Affiliate Links / Paid Links
Drakenhart Studios, at this time, does not offer it’s own Affiliate Program. At this time the cost effectiveness of such a marketing technique is not of a percentage that we find productive.
Drakenhart Studios however is partnered with several other companies and services as part of their Affiliate Programs. Such links to other products not produced by us are done so under very strict guidelines. We do not join any affiliate programs unless they in some way help our viewers and clients. We offer a lot of free information, so this is our way of off-setting costs.
Often when we write articles and link to products that are not our own, there is a chance that they are in fact Affiliate Links. There are some cases where the links are not Affiliate Links, but are instead products or services we have reviewed and find worthwhile.
Comment Policy
General Overview | Standards
Drakenhart Studios encourages our visitors to leave their comments, critiques, suggestions and helpful input to our posts. Just keep in mind that we are dedicated to content and quality over quantity.
So, aside from the various comment-span filtering technologies we apply, we require that comments to many of the articles posted are pre-moderated. We see them after they pass through the spam filtration, review them, and either pass or fail them base on the below series of standards.
We offer our sincerest apologies to any who this might effect, but in regards to site usefulness we need our comments to be of the same quality.
*~ Standards ~*
We ask our users to please respect each other as much as they respect our site, as well as in reverse. Drakenhart Studios does not tolerate flame-baiting attitudes or argumentative comments that encourage hate and further the negative emotions which cause such ugly reactions from others.
- Content Spam is prohibited. We will mark unwanted posts that disregard our policies as SPAM.
- Please place either a personal url or leave the url field blank if your comment does not contain helpful or useful information. *If you have a LinkedIn Account, feel free to leave your LinkedIn Profile url!*
- Our articles’ comments are NOT a free form of self-advertising. If you are going to post a commercial url, and are not a known entity to us, please post something worthwhile in your comment.
- We require either your real name, online handle, or similar kind of nickname when you either register or comment. No “coded”, or obvious Keyword-like names are allowed (with in reason.)
- Please no “paid comments”. Don’t comment here if you are merely getting paid for it and not bothering with reading the articles, or not posting something in relation to the articles.
- Again, no SPAM posts, Phishing sites, or sell sites, even if they are related to the article. We do check. You will be reported if it becomes a necessity.
- Some kinds of commercial posts may be okay, and we reserve the right to make that choice. More often then not these sites will be reviewed and have an attached article here. Especially if we like them!
- Commercial posts that we actually do leave do not, in anyway, mean we support or encourage them *unless they received our “stamp of approval”. They have either gotten through our maze of filters and checkers, or are considered useful (or harmless
).
Drakenhart Studios will not delete comments unless their contents:
- are unrelated to the main topic post. (ex. ‘Grow your backlinks’ comments in a Tutorial article that covers Themes.)
- are about 80% off-topic. (Comments that start on topic then tangent badly.)
- are abusive.
- promotes hate of any kind.
- uses excessively foul language.
- are obvious spam comments.
- are obvious advertising-only comments.
- are comments posted merely for the sake of the link-back.
These standards are for the most part common sense and we do not foresee many problems with posters in general. We do appreciate when our visitors think before they post. Specifically intriguing posts may receive their own articles here with additional link-backs.
In some cases your posts may be flagged accidentally by some of our spam filters (false positive) and in such cases we do sincerely apologize. If such a case happens and the post does not show up aftr 24 hours, then please feel free to email the admin, or leave a tweet, so that we may get this sorted out as soon as possible.
If you want more information on why we uphold such standards where others may not, please feel free to check out the Blog Herald’s article from Sept. 4th, 2007. Much of its information still holds true.
